Ever walk to the other side
over the river not far away?
Put your feet inside the pathway?
Opened that gate rusted shut?
A young man tried and true
stood in front and pushed not hard
he wonderd if he strode on through
if someone would be there to show
to tell him how to walk his path
Trepidation lightning force
created by Devils sitting by
as God turned to sip his booze
and let the boy find his way
alone for what could He do
for a child created in Pilgrim's stew
by ages past that stood to stand
by youngsters not so blessed by Them?
